Kailey Haider
Hi! You may know me from Instagram as the writer "determined to become a full time author", but I’ve done a lot of other things before I started focusing on this new career. In my previous life, I spent a decade working in tech where I held various positions at medium-sized businesses and at IBM, and later as CEO of my own company Bloomly, which I started to help consulting partners do more memorable marketing through storytelling.
I’m a mom wiht a teenager and a toddler, and married to the most incredibly patient husband who always seems to have a Black Mirror or otherwise obscure 90s movie that has “the same plot” as all of my story ideas. He’s the reason I can write about love. I wouldn’t believe in it enough otherwise.
We live in Chicago, but next year, we’re planning to move to the suburbs so I can grow (at minimum) the following foods in my back yard: 2 apple trees, 1 fig tree, 1 mulberry tree, raspberries that will endlessly expand, and lots and lots of squash. I have also coerced my loving husband into building a greenhouse out from our future kitchen so I can grow lemons, oranges, and other tropical fruits. I am nothing if not ambitious.
I write novels about love that border on plausible for a (in my opinion, completely) fresh take on the romance genre. My current WIP is about a social media influencer who gets elected as Mayor of Chicago, and I plan to query this story in June of 2026.
