Kailey Haider writes about the three things she’s spent her entire life daydreaming about: romance, food, and magic. After living with an idiopathic illness for three years as a child, daydreaming and making up stories became an outlet that allowed her to escape the uncertainties of her condition. Kailey’s work centers around the choices that shape our identities and how to create a good life when very little feels within our control.

Kailey lives in Chicago and often writes from coffee shops with an oat milk matcha and something flaky next to the keyboard. When she’s not writing, she can be found in the kitchen, perfecting her signature cookie recipe. Kailey holds a BA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
